Description: Art and craft activities foster communication, listening and imagination. These activities enhance mental health, well-being as well as foster a whole range of development skills among the students. With this thought and a message to protect our small creatures, a class activity was conducted n 29th July, 2022 for the students of class III, IV and V. The objective for organizing these activities was to encourage our students to explore the many ways in which natural materials and loose parts can be used for creative and craft activities. These activities were designed to connect children to the wonders of the natural world through sensory and play-based learning. The students of class III made a ‘Bird Feeder’. The main objective of this activity was to make them familiarize with the living habits of the birds. The innovative minds of Class IV students made ‘Bird House’. The students used reusable and recyclable material for this activity. Aiming at sensory learning of the students of Class V were encouraged to make craft items based on the topic ‘Nature Craft’. For this activity they used natural materials like dry twigs, dry leaves, straw, coir, etc. a fabulous participation of all the students was observed during these activities.
